STATUS: DESIGN COMPETITION / PLANNING
SIZE:7,120 SQ
Plaza HQ is 76,000 sqft of Grade A office accommodation, built to uncompromised design + environmental standards.
The primary objective was to develop a design which, whilst contextually sensitive + commercially aware, successfully contributed to the local character of Cuneo. The brief was to prepare Grade A office alongside new landscaping that would meet the requirements of the emerging local office market.
The building itself is arranged around a central ‘street’ which connects to a vibrant new public piazza at the building’s entrance. This encourages the building to interact + connect with the surrounding mature landscape. The arrangement + structural grid will provide clean highly flexible workspace whilst delivering some of largest floor plates in the area.
A BREEAM rating of ‘Outstanding’ is required along with the utilisation of high-tech + low energy measures that include a biomass heating system + array of photovoltaic panels + lighting reduction measures.
